About this moving company website template
A complete website for a removals company: a working quote calculator with a moving-date calendar, five service pages, a published price list, reviews, moving guides, an FAQ and a survey booking form that arrives already filled in. Twenty-one built pages, all driven by content and data files.
It looks like a firm you would trust with your sofa. A white ground with pale sand blocks, one dark band on a concrete texture, and one burnt-amber accent on prices and buttons. The photos are real removals work: boxes being taped, a crew carrying a sofa downstairs, vans being loaded, a storage warehouse, an empty room after the move. Rubik for headings, Noto Sans for everything else.
Every section answers what someone asks before booking movers: what will it cost, which day can you come, how much packing do I need, who turns up, and what if something breaks. The calculator and calendar answer the first two on the page, and "Book a survey" carries the answers into the contact form. Motion is one quiet reveal.

What is in the build
- A removal quote calculator: home size or desks, road miles from postcodes, stairs and lifts, packing level and storage weeks, giving a price range, vehicle, crew and hours
- A moving-date calendar from one data file: fully booked days struck out, Fridays and month-end marked busy with a surcharge, Sundays closed
- "Book a survey" passes the whole quote into the contact form
- Every rate in one pricing file, so the calculator, the price list and the tests always agree
- Services and guides as Markdown content collections; business facts, coverage postcodes and storage details in one file
- A packing comparison (self-pack, fragile-only, full) that stacks row by row on phones
- Real removals photography with no faces and no brand names, all listed in LICENSING.md
- Vitest and Playwright suites included, with tests for the quote maths
The design decision
Every template in this catalog is loud in exactly one channel and deliberately quiet in the other three. That single rule is what stops 65 different worlds reading as one design system in different paint.
- The world
- White ground with pale sand blocks and one dark concrete band, Rubik headings over Noto Sans, real removals photography, one burnt-amber accent.
- The mechanic
- A quote calculator turns home size, postcodes or miles, stairs, packing and storage weeks into a price range, vehicle, crew and hours; a moving-date calendar strikes out full days and flags busy Fridays; the survey button carries the quote into the contact form. Motion is one quiet reveal.

Questions
How do I set my own prices?
Every rate lives in one file: hourly rate per mover, van day rates, mileage, stair and lift allowances, packing and storage costs, the busy-day surcharge and the minimum charge. Change them there and the calculator and the price list both follow.
How does the calendar know which days are full?
It reads a list of fully booked dates and a few weekday rules from one data file. Update the list and redeploy, or swap the import for a fetch from your booking system.
Does the distance work for any postcode?
The calculator knows about fifty postcode districts around Cardiff, Bristol and a few major cities, and works out road miles between them. For anywhere else the customer types the miles. Add your own districts to the same file.
Where do survey requests go?
The form posts nowhere by default. Point it at your form backend; the README shows how, and lists every field the calculator fills in.
What exactly do I get for $49?
Access to a private GitHub repository holding the complete Astro source of this template — every route you see in the preview, the content model, the images and the tests. Updates arrive in that same repository.
How many sites can I build with one licence?
As many as you like, for yourself or for clients. The licence is per buyer, not per project. The one thing you may not do is resell or redistribute the source as a template, theme or starter kit.
Do I need to know Astro?
It helps, but the common case is editing content and colour. Content lives in typed objects under src/data, colour lives in one @theme block, and npm run dev shows the result. Deploying is a static folder — Cloudflare Pages, Netlify and Vercel all take it as-is.
Is anything loaded from a third party?
No. Fonts are self-hosted woff2, there is no analytics, no tag manager, no CDN script and no external CSS. The build ships static HTML under a strict Content-Security-Policy.
