About this accountant website template
A complete website for a small-business accountancy practice: a hero with a fixed-fee card, six service pages with published prices, a monthly fee calculator, a twelve-month tax deadline calendar, a pricing page, a switching guide, five deadline-led guides, an FAQ and a contact form that picks up the calculator quote. Twenty-three built pages, all driven by content files.
It looks calm and trustworthy. White pages with pale green-grey blocks, one dark band over a chalkboard texture, square corners throughout, and a single forest-green accent. Real photography of desks, paperwork, a workshop, house keys and a brick terrace carries the colour. Libre Baskerville for headings and prices, Karla for everything else.
Every section answers what a sole trader, company director or landlord asks before switching accountant: what will it cost each month, what is included, what is due and when, how does moving work, and is a fixed fee cheaper than paying by the hour. The calculator, plan cards and comparison table answer that on the page. Motion is one quiet reveal.

What is in the build
- A monthly fee calculator (business type, turnover, bookkeeping, payroll staff, VAT, Making Tax Digital) that shows the fee, the yearly total and what is included, then pre-fills the contact form
- One fee model file that prices the hero card, plan cards and calculator, so the numbers always agree
- A twelve-month tax deadline calendar with filters, fed from one data file you roll forward each year
- Services and guides as content collections: one Markdown file each, with price, inclusions, FAQs and photo
- A fixed fee vs hourly comparison that stacks into readable rows on phones
- Registration, company number and insurer as clear placeholders in one file, listed in the README
- Vitest and Playwright suites included
The design decision
Every template in this catalog is loud in exactly one channel and deliberately quiet in the other three. That single rule is what stops 65 different worlds reading as one design system in different paint.
- The world
- White pages with pale green-grey blocks and one dark chalkboard band, Libre Baskerville over Karla, real desk, workshop and street photography, and a single forest-green accent.
- The mechanic
- A monthly fee calculator (business type, turnover, bookkeeping, payroll, VAT, Making Tax Digital) pre-fills the contact form, a calendar shows twelve months of UK tax deadlines with filters, and a table compares a fixed fee with an hourly accountant. Motion is one quiet reveal.

Questions
How do I change the prices?
Edit one file, src/lib/fees.ts. The base price per business type, turnover bands and add-ons all live there, and the hero card, plan cards, calculator and contact pre-fill update together.
Are the tax dates correct for next year?
They are UK example dates from October 2026 to September 2027, labelled as examples on the site. Each date is one line in src/data/deadlines.ts, so rolling the calendar forward takes a few minutes.
What about my professional body and registration number?
The template never names a real body or prints a real-looking number. The company number, practice number and insurer are placeholders in one file that show in the footer and on the about page; the README lists what to fill in.
Where do enquiries go?
The contact form posts nowhere by default. Point it at your form backend and add the host to the security headers; the README shows how. The calculator quote arrives in the form as a read-only field.
What exactly do I get for $49?
Access to a private GitHub repository holding the complete Astro source of this template — every route you see in the preview, the content model, the images and the tests. Updates arrive in that same repository.
How many sites can I build with one licence?
As many as you like, for yourself or for clients. The licence is per buyer, not per project. The one thing you may not do is resell or redistribute the source as a template, theme or starter kit.
Do I need to know Astro?
It helps, but the common case is editing content and colour. Content lives in typed objects under src/data, colour lives in one @theme block, and npm run dev shows the result. Deploying is a static folder — Cloudflare Pages, Netlify and Vercel all take it as-is.
Is anything loaded from a third party?
No. Fonts are self-hosted woff2, there is no analytics, no tag manager, no CDN script and no external CSS. The build ships static HTML under a strict Content-Security-Policy.
